The Ramesseum

As part of your Day Tour to Ramesseum, Habu Temple & Nobles Valley, The Ramesseum, also known as the Temple of Ramesses II, is an essential stop on any Luxor tour. Constructed during the 19th Dynasty of the New Kingdom, it exemplifies the grandeur and legacy of this great pharaoh.

The Ramesseum is often associated with the figure of Ozymandias, the Greek name for Ramesses II, famously referenced in Percy Bysshe Shelley’s poem. The poem reflects on the impermanence of human achievements, symbolized by the fallen statue, serving as a reminder of the fleeting nature of even the mightiest empires.

This vast complex includes a mortuary temple and various structures, situated on the West Bank of the Nile, about 6 kilometers from the Valley of the Kings. Better than expected! Awesome experience - the Nile is so beautiful and highly recommended. Food was much better than expected for an all inclusive especially at such a decent rate. Service was really great overall and especially enjoyed our groups tour guide, Hady. Funny and knowledgeable and clearly experienced so we felt safe during some of the chaotic tours through the temples.
